eagles, Eagles, EAgles, EAGles, EAGLes, EAGLEs, EAGLES!
$265 tickets....
Joe Walsh playing "Life's Been Good to Me So Far" - Worth it!
Desperado - Priceless! ("Would you just be quiet?" - A quote from Elaine's boyfriend in Seinfeld). I have heard it 3 times live from different artist. The others were Clint Black and Linda Ronstadt (dedicated her performance to Micheal Moore).
They performed songs from the new album, Long Road Out of Eden, coming out this Tuesday(10/30) at Walmart and Sam's Club only.
If that wasn't enough everything you can think of by the Eagles including Peaceful Easy Feeling, Lyin Eyes, Dirty Laundry, Life in the Fast Lane, Hotel California.
We missed Whichey Women!
Again Susie, Kelly and now Brandon can help because each were called several times.
Dixie Chicks

Where do I begin. I really need help with questions. A girl band with banjo... fiddle... AND steele guitar, in LA?, WORKS! Especially, when they play "Hail to the Chief" as they enter the stage. This was their sixth show this week and this year. Yep, they only played in LA. The people here love them. Highlights included the songs: Long Time Gone, Earl , Wide Open Spaces, Taken the Long Way, and of course, Landslide. Perhaps Stevie Nicks was there!!! There was not much standing but everyone went nuts and gave them a standing ovation for "I'm not ready to make nice".
I have to get comments from my sister, Susie, and my daughter Kelly. I called them both many times during the concert. At one point I could faintly here Kelly say "I love it"! I did get a text message from Wally, who was driving home from a party with Susie, that said "Can you quit calling, she almost ran us off the road with her reaction to that last one". Pure delight!
Nokia Theatre
We left our hotel at 6:45 to drive the 10 miles of "FREE"way to get to the brand new Nokia Theatre in downtown LA.. We got there almost an hour later. We now expect traffic at all times, here.
The theatre is downtown with many other large crowd venues including the Staple center. The whole place was lit up with search lights and the actual building and parking lot was lit with purple lights.
Arriving to LA
We arrived in LA about 2:15pm west coast time(10/27).
We picked up our rental car and we have been in traffic ever since. I thought the D.C. area traffic was bad. This is horrible! Along with the smog/smoke and fires. We love LA!? Thankfully, it started to rain! Yep, it rains in southern California. I kinda think we brought it with us. Has it stopped raining at home, yet????
We are a block away from Grummans(sp?) Chinese theatre. Our hotel connects to a retail center that backs up to the theatre. The mall has a staging area with a great view of the Hollywood sign.
In fact, we can see the Hollywod sign from the window in our hotel room.

First West Coast Concert Played Last Night
Here is the set list and review:
http://www.backstreets.com/setlists.html#settop
"Thunder Road" in the encore again comes across as rejuvenated, a song Springsteen wants to play. When he comes to the edge of the stage with that old battered Esquire, letting the front row bang away at it to "make it talk," you better believe "Thunder Road" has the power to move even the most reserved crowd.
